Arnold Reyes

Arnold Reyes (b. February 5, Manila) has appeared as talent in many plays, TV commercials and print ads. He was part of the ensemble of the Manila staging of the off-Broadway musical Once On This Island. Inspired by songwriter friend Jingle Buena, he wrote his first-ever song, “Paano Na?” and entered it in the Metropop Songwriting Contest in 2000. Interpreted by Bituin Escalante, “Paano Na?” ultimately bagged 2nd place. Encouraged by this positive sign, he went on to join more songwriting contests, most notably ABS-CBN’s Himig Handog and Viva’s Levi Celerio Songwriting Competition. A fan of master songwriter Ryan Cayabyab and American R& B producer-artist Babyface, Arnold considers Regine Velasquez’s version of his song “Perry’s Will” as the highlight of his songwriting career. “An effective pop song is one that can affect the lives of people and inspire them,” he explains. As one of M2K’s cherished songwriters, Arnold continues to do just that and more.
