If it's real, it's simple usually. And if it's simple, it's true.

Marizen Yaneza
Marizen
Yaneza-Soriano (born
August 15 1964 in
Manila) simply walked
into a songwriting
career, literally.
A graduate of Communication
Arts in UST, Marizen
submitted a demo of
her very first song
to Octo Arts one afternoon
in 1986. The song, “Pangarap” went
on to become a smash
hit for Jamie Rivera,
which prompted her
to write more songs
for Jamie and other
artists including
Manilyn Reynes and
Rachel Alejandro. A
singer herself, she
released a solo album
under Vicor Records
in 1991 and worked
abroad. In 1999, she
got married, had four
kids in succession,
and continued to write
more songs in between. Her
other smash hit, “Iingatan
Ka,” interpreted
by Carol Banawa, was
inspired by her youngest
child, who suffered
from a physical condition.
Many of her songs
have been used in
various Koreanovelas
and telenovelas on
major networks ABS-CBN
and GMA. Her dream
is to become a National
Artist.
