Rico Soliman

Rico Soliman (b. February 18, 1956 in Iloilo) is the creator of the Pinoy monster hit “Miss na Miss Kita” and founder of the multiplatinum-selling Father and Sons, a pop rock band consisting of Soliman and his own sons Ryan, Raine and Richie. Coming from a big family, Soliman had to support himself early in life. He started out as a folk singer in his native Iloilo, where he played at various folk houses, and later on as guitarist for several bands that played in hotels and venues here and around the world. With many hit songs, albums sold and sold-out concerts in Filipino communities here and abroad, Rico, through his brainchild Father and Sons, is a successful example of a fully-independent pop rock band and Soliman himself a successful example of a performing songwriter who exercises full creative control over his music and artistry. Now a proud owner of a modest bar and restaurant in hot tourist spot Boracay, Rico is currently working on their Greatest Hits album. He credits M2K for being a great help in managing his catalog and providing him with income enough to sustain his uniquely Filipino artistry.
